Rights of use
next level solutions develops on own ideas and customer requests specific tools for project and prozess management based on standard applications. Some are full versions downloadable for free, some are trial versions with reduced functionality. Irrespective of the technical means used, some legal restrictions apply to the use of next level tools. You may purchase a user licence to extend normal user rights.
Downloadable full versions
The available full versions may generally be used freely. For this purpose, the tools are not or only partly protected by technological measures like available methods, functions or amount of editable elements.
Irrespective of technical means used next level consulting logos or copyright statements in the freely available full versions must not be removed or modified. These versions must not be distributed for commercial use, either under one’s own or somebody else’s name.
Downloadable trial versions
The available trial versions can also be used freely. However the functions of these tools are considerably reduced or protected and only serve to “test” the tool. For example, access to the master data in the projectportfolio.xs is blocked, it is not possible to import data and evaluations are limited to a few projects.
The next level consulting logos or copyright statements in the trial versions must not be removed or modified. These versions must not be distributed for commercial use, either under one’s own or somebody else’s name.
Licensing model
next level tools are not a typical standard software. The tools are designed to be adapted to customer needs and mainly convince users due to the technical know-how they are based on.
The scope of use is clearly specified in the course of a customer-specific offer or assignment. The tools are generally adjusted to suit company-specific needs and made available in the agreed scope.
Tools which have been modified by the client in a defined restricted way, may however result in the loss of warranty and support claims. next level solutions retains the right of ownership of the customised tools and its graphs, templates and source code. These versions must not be distributed for commercial use, either under one’s own or somebody else’s name beyond the rights of use.
Company license
Most of the next level tools are based on MS Office and are just partly technical protected. So for some templates there are just company licenses available. Still some of the licenses have graded prices based on simple criterias (like amount of projects or project managers). Generally the tool can be used unristricted within corporate group, a company or a company area.
User licenses
The projecthandbook.xl and the processhandbook.xl give the opportunity to aquire a userbased license. Within the customerspecific template defined users are registered and just these are authorised to save the file. A license for a single project manager or process manager can be aquired for € 1.100,-.
Special licenses
Some tools also offer additional licenses. For example for the projecthandbook.xl a single project license is available. For temporary usage exists the opportunity to rent the tools. Often these license models are used for test or pilot phases.
Individual presentation or specific offer
We would be happy to present you our tools phycially or via web conference. After clarification of the customer-specific situation we would be able to submit an adequate proposal (license scope and additional services like customizing or trainings have to be discuessed).
